About WEDGE Africa

This website is operated by WEDGE Africa (Women Empowerment for Digital and Green Economy in Africa), a registered non-governmental organisation in Ghana. Our registered contact address is available in Section 14.

References to "we", "us", and "our" throughout these Terms mean WEDGE Africa. References to "you" mean any person accessing or using this website.

Our website is located at wedgeafrica.org. These Terms apply to all pages, content, and functionality on that domain and any sub-domains we operate.

02

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using this website — including reading content, submitting the contact form, downloading materials, or signing up for the newsletter — you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use this website.

These terms do not affect your statutory rights under Ghanaian law or, where applicable, the laws of your own jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights you have by law that cannot be excluded or limited.
03

You may use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with WEDGE Africa's mission and values. The following sets out what is and is not permitted.

  • Automated scraping or harvesting of content or data from the site

04

Intellectual property

All content on this website — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, data visualisations, reports, and the WEDGE Africa and GROW brand identities — is the intellectual property of WEDGE Africa and is protected under Ghanaian law and applicable international intellectual property conventions.

This includes in particular:

  • The GROW programme methodology — including session plans, frameworks, facilitation guides, and the Farm Record Book
  • The WEDGE Africa and GROW names, logos, and visual identity
  • All published reports and evidence documents, including the Pilot Learning Report
  • All original written content published on this website
  • All data, charts, and impact indicators displayed on this website
You may not reproduce, republish, sell, or redistribute any of our intellectual property without prior written consent from WEDGE Africa. This applies regardless of whether content is marked with a copyright notice.

Fair use and citation: Researchers, journalists, and educators may quote limited extracts from our published content for the purposes of commentary, criticism, or research, provided that WEDGE Africa is clearly attributed as the source and the extract is not used in a misleading way. Please contact us if you are uncertain whether your intended use is permitted.

Third-party content referenced on this website — including academic sources, government data, and partner materials — remains the intellectual property of its respective owners.

05

Knowledge Hub and downloadable tools

WEDGE Africa's Knowledge Hub (launching October 2026) provides access to a range of resources at different access levels. The following terms apply to all Knowledge Hub materials:

  • Free / open-access materials — such as the Pilot Learning Report and policy briefs — may be downloaded and shared freely, provided WEDGE Africa is credited as the source and the material is not modified or used out of context.
  • Practitioner tools — such as the Farm Record Book and Facilitator's Guide — are made available under specific licence terms communicated at the point of access. Purchasing or downloading a tool does not transfer ownership; it grants a limited, non-exclusive licence to use it for the purposes specified.
  • Organisational licences — for delivery of the GROW methodology — are governed by a separate written licence agreement between WEDGE Africa and the licensee. These Terms do not constitute or replace that agreement.
  • Facilitator Academy materials — are provided exclusively to enrolled participants and may not be shared, redistributed, or republished.
Women-First Pricing principle: Where WEDGE Africa sells knowledge products, women participants in the GROW programme always access them at the most affordable tier. This is a non-negotiable organisational principle and cannot be waived by any licensee or partner.
06

Accuracy of content

WEDGE Africa takes care to ensure that the information published on this website is accurate, up to date, and consistent with our evidence-led approach. However, we cannot guarantee that all content is always complete, current, or free from error.

In particular:

  • Programme data and impact figures are updated periodically and may not reflect the most recent position at any given moment
  • Information about partnership opportunities, pricing, and Knowledge Hub availability is subject to change without notice
  • Content describing future plans — including the 2026–2030 strategic roadmap — represents our intentions and targets, not guarantees of outcomes

If you identify an error or outdated information on this website, we welcome you to notify us at [email protected].

07

External links

This website may contain links to third-party websites — including partner organisations, research institutions, donor platforms, and sector resources. These links are provided for your convenience and information only.

WEDGE Africa does not control, endorse, or accept responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party website. Visiting a linked site is at your own risk. We encourage you to read the terms and privacy policies of any site you visit.

If you would like to link to this website from your own, you are welcome to do so provided: the link is not presented in a misleading or deceptive way, does not suggest a partnership or endorsement that does not exist, and does not frame or embed this website within your own. Please contact us if you wish to discuss a link arrangement.

08

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, WEDGE Africa excludes liability for:

  • Any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website
  • Any reliance placed on the accuracy or completeness of content on this website
  • Any loss arising from your use of information or materials downloaded from this website
  • Any interruption, suspension, or termination of the website or any service on it
  • Any damage caused by viruses, malicious code, or other technologically harmful material transmitted through your use of the site or any linked site
  • Any decisions made on the basis of content or data published on this website
Nothing in these Terms limits WEDGE Africa's liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

WEDGE Africa operates as a registered non-profit organisation with limited resources. Our maximum aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of this website is limited to the amount, if any, paid by you to WEDGE Africa in the twelve months preceding the claim.

09

Contact form use

  • You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email
  • Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not affect any other communication you have with WEDGE Africa

11

Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy sets out in full how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data, and what your rights are under Ghana's Data Protection Act 2012 and applicable international standards.

By using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy. It forms part of these Terms and Conditions and should be read alongside them.

12

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you hold under the law of your own jurisdiction.

Where WEDGE Africa engages with individuals or organisations in the United Kingdom or European Union, we apply standards consistent with applicable UK and EU law in those interactions. However, the governing law of this website and these Terms remains Ghanaian law.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13

Changes to these terms

WEDGE Africa reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We may also notify regular users or newsletter subscribers of significant changes.

Your continued use of the website after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically, particularly if you use the site regularly or access Knowledge Hub materials.

Version history: This is the first published version of WEDGE Africa's Terms and Conditions, effective 1 June 2026. A version history will be maintained here as terms are updated.
